Environmental Awareness of Resources and Threatened Habitats

Earth Limited is a grassroots, non-profit educational organization located at Southwick's Zoo in Mendon, Massachusetts.

Our Mission:
To provide environmental and conservation education with an emphasis on animal ecology, endangered species and threatened habitats.

Introduction:
We exist to educate people about environmental issues such as animal ecology, endangered species and threatened habitats. Our education methods include the extensive use of live animal presentations and hands-on activities.

Betsey Brewer, Founder and Executive Director of Earth Limited, with a Master's Degree in Wildlife Conservation Education, has given countless lectures and presentations to groups of all ages and has worked on projects with the Boston Museum of Science and the Animal Planet.  Betsey, has dedicated her life's work to the conservation and education of animal ecology, endangered species and threatened habitats.

The Staff at Earth Limited is exceptional and consists of  certified teachers, a professor of psycho-biology, education coordinators, college students, volunteers and interns from area colleges.

August 7th is the 26th Annual Earth Awareness Day at Southwick's Zoo.  Special presentations and exhibits featured all day long  Free Admission for members of Earth Limited.  Earth Awareness Day is always the first Saturday in August.  Mark your calendar for this special event that includes: Birds of Prey Program, Endangered Species Exhibit, Humane Society and Education, Special Projects presented by Earth Ltd. Interns, and other special guests.

Registration is open for  the Wild Adventure Summer Camps 2010, July and August Programs.  We offer a wide range of day camps designed for young campers entering grades 1 on up to campers aged 16.

who helped make the 5th Annual Benefit Earth Bash a huge success !  The Benefit Earth Bash supports the works of Earth Limited, both local and global as well; helps to support many ecological efforts including Whale Shark research, The Sarapiqui Conservation Learning Center in Costa Rica, Sloth Rehabilitation Center, Great Green Macaw Project, Interns at the Earth Discovery Center, eco-travel and more.  Plans are underway for a new learning center and after-school program.  To learn more visit our website at www.Earthltd.org

An evening of Fun and Adventure at Southwick's Zoo, in support of Earth Limited.

Earth Limited and Ocean Matters thank Brian Skerry, Award Winning National Geographic Photographer;   for his presentation of "Crucial Waters", given this past Fall at  Southwick's Zoo.  Brian Skerry is known worldwide as a photojournalist specializing in marine wildlife and underwater environments, bringing attention to the large number of issues that endanger our oceans and its inhabitants.  For National Geographic Magazine, Brian has covered a wide range of marine topics, from the harp seal's struggle to survive in frozen waters, to the alarming decrease in the world's fisheries
