  • Outreach and  Zoomobile Programs

We believe that preservation of biodiversity is the most critical issue facing humanity today, and that this aim can best be achieved by educating people as to its importance.  To this end, we offer several exciting and important Educational Outreach Programs.  Our most popular program is An Introduction to Animal Ecology, which is geared to all ages.  Earth Ltd. staff travels with seven or eight animals to your school or facility and presents an exciting program to generate interest and awareness of environmental conservation and wildlife ecology.

Birthday Bash ZooMobile

The Earth Limited Eco-education Center located at Southwick’s Zoo offers this very exciting out-reach program; the Birthday Bash ZooMobile. Our staff travels to your home and presents an exciting program which is entertaining and educational.

The mission of EARTH is to provide environmental and conservation education with an emphasis on animal ecology, endangered species and threatened habitats. The vision of EARTH is to educate people about the challenges that many animals face in our world; challenges that threaten habitats and endanger entire species. It is our hope that through education, children and adults will be moved to support conservation initiatives and take action to protect animals and animal habitats. In order to educate and get the public involved, we must first create respect for animals and the environments in which they live.  This is where the Earth ZooMobile Program plays such an important role.

Our staff travels with animals to your home to present the Birthday Bash program geared towards your child’s specific age and age group. Some of the animals that we may bring are: tortoise, lizard, snake, alligator, cockatiel, chinchilla, ferret, and hedgehogs. The animals change periodically, but we try to provide you with the most unique variety possible. At times we are caring for baby animals and can sometimes bring them. We will bring 7 animals to you for your birthday party. The Birthday Bash Zoomobile is presented indoors; maximum number of children permitted is 15, unless other arrangements are made in advance.

EARTH is a non-profit organization and we strive to maintain reasonable pricing and cannot alter pricing for programs.  Each of our programs are presented by educated staff and interns that are paid by the generous in-kind support of Southwick’s Zoo. The pricing is $275. for Earth Limited members and $300 for non-members. An additional mileage fee is applied.

Thank you for your interest in our programs. For more information please call our Earth Ltd. Eco-education Center 800-258-9182 ext. 208 or 209.
