Garden Friends & Foes

Learn about who is helping your garden, and who is helping themselves to it during this one-hour program!
Discover the fascinating creatures that share our gardens, from beneficial pollinators and other helpful insects to invasive species and pests that can damage plants and disrupt the garden ecosystem. Learn why these creatures are drawn to our gardens, the important roles they play, and how to tell the friends from the foes.
We’ll also explore simple, environmentally friendly ways to protect your garden, including things you can build, plant, or design to discourage unwanted visitors while creating a welcoming habitat for pollinators and other beneficial wildlife. Participants will leave with practical ideas for creating a healthier, more balanced, and wildlife-friendly garden.
